That's right, it's time to close the boarders or at least stop any more people moving here.  Personally, I think we should have stopped all immigration in the 30s, but the bleeding hearts had to save the world even if it destroyed America.  This article says that immigration and citizenship is too easy, but he stops short of saying what is really needed, an end!  We have too many people here now and the values that this country was founded on are being diluted and corrupted.  I wish that we could deport anyone who came here in the last 50 years and any of their children, but I know that the bleeding hearts in the Democrat party wouldn't set still for that.  They want these new Democrat voters even if they might be terrorists.

Was Route to Citizenship Too Easy for Shahzad?
WASHINGTON (May 4) -- There may be more questions than answers about the man who allegedly tried to firebomb Times Square, but one certain fact about Faisal Shahzad is that he is a citizen of the United States.

Days after Senate Democrats unveiled a 26-page immigration reform proposal in response to Arizona's controversial new crackdown on illegal immigrants, the arrest of a naturalized U.S. citizen from Pakistan in the failed New York City attack appears certain to renew scrutiny on how the U.S. polices its borders. While the current debate has focused on the nation's 12 million undocumented residents, the 30-year-old Pakistani native apparently had all his papers in order.

"We're cracking down on Mexican busboys and we would much rather they go after would-be terrorists," said Angela Maria Kelley, head of immigration policy and advocacy at the liberal Center for American Progress. "We need to find a way to make ourselves secure and revamp our immigration system, but we can't fool ourselves that revamping the immigration system will make us safe."

"We don't know enough about this case yet to say whether he slipped through the cracks," said Kevin McLaughlin, a spokesman for Sen. John Cornyn, the senior Republican on the subcommittee dealing with immigration and border security. "There will have to be a top-to-bottom review to see how he got naturalized and whether there were any acts prior to obtaining citizenship."

Calls to Sen. Charles Schumer, the New York Democrat who chairs that panel, were not returned.

You're going too far now Jack, I agree that we need to be more careful about who we let in, but to close our doors is just wrong headed.  I've got some really good friends who are first and second generation Americans.  They know more about our constitution than a lot of people.  I guess that's why they vote Republican.

I think that Jack is right, just look at all the gangs, crime and drugs that have come from our open boarders.

May and Jack, you two should be ashamed of yourselves.  You know these boards are part of a Christian blog and I don't see how anyone can spew out that much hate and be a Christian.  Yeah, we have a problem with illegal immigration, but there isn't anything wrong with legal immigration.  I just don't see how you can be so cold hearted.

Besides the fact is that we don't have an illegal immigration problem, we have an illegal employment problem.  If we were to lock up everyone who hired an illegal immigrant we would see the problem come to an end.  In today's world it's not that hard to make sure that potential employees have legitimate documentation.  Most of this anti-immigration talk has it's roots in racism and bigotry.  You're right that it has no place in Christianity or America!
