Love your site... I just registered... and this is my first post...

I"m really ticked off... a co worker lied about me to the boss... got me in trouble... nothing came of it... but it really made me mad.

I just want to punch the guy... but I know that will only make things worse... it's just eating me up inside.

I would deck the guy and let him know that he can't get away with c__ on you.

Why do guys think that violence is always the answer?  Great advise Jack, if Sam wants to get fired.  Sam, I know it's not right and it would PO us all, but it sounds like that guy has a problem and you don't need to let his problem become your's.  Some times you can talk to the person, the thing is that usually doesn't work because the other person isn't reasonable.  If you can expose the other guy as a liar to the boss, he'll lose any creditability to lie about anyone else in the future.  Jack's answer feels good, but it hurts you more than helps.

Thank you both for your advice... I'd haven't figured out how to quote one person in a reply yet... I know the right thing to do but it's hard to control how mad this makes me... I want to deck him as the one person said but know that will only make things worse... But knowing that doesn't change how I feel...

Good way to get fired and not the best advice.

Just remember that this guy will get his without you needing to do anything.
